Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Groves at Frequented California Coast
A helicopter soaring above a well-attended southern California shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, finally dropping height and crashing into a line of palm groves as onlookers watched.
Videos posted online show the aircraft beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then plunging near the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders stated five individuals were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the street were hurt. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
